Modern carpets are usually called designer carpets. The term is not uniformly defined and can mean different things for different producers. A designer carpet or modern carpets are usually abstract or geometrically patterned and show "modern" motifs. A designer carpet can therefore also be a shaggy carpet or a fancy living room carpet.
